My Goals 2016

We had an amazing March. Lots of learning and exciting activities. We even re-wrote our Goals as many students had already achieved them in one month. We continued with Getting Started ( Fitness /coordination programme), Kiwi Can (social skills & games), Patu(Maori fitness & sports programme) Grandparent’s reading(Rotary),Kapa Haka(Junior & Senior) and even found time to have a Dress up day as Heroes or Heroines. The students in Room 1 are loving learning and making great progress. We are Miharo.We rock. We show Aroha, Kaha and Mana.

I like Riverslea. I am in Room 1. I Came from Frimley School.. I am good at Maths.I can count and use counters and my fingers to help me add up. I like Reading and spell lots of my own words in Writing. I like Getting Started. It's lots of fun. (Peta)
Peta has just started at Riverslea.He came from Frimley school and was 6 in February. He was at Level 5 for Reading,but has moved up to Level 6 within 2 weeks. I will give him lots of encouragement and praise to build up his self confidence. He is writing his own stories (2-3 sentences) and attempts a lot of his own spelling. He is at Stage 2-beg Stage 3 for Maths. I will continue to work with him to strengthen his skills and independence in all areas. (Mrs B)
